Concentration is a psychological skill which is essential for performing at the highest level. Being able to block out distractors, stay in the present moment and focus on the task at hand can be a challenge for any performer. Not only can we experience a range of external distractors such as our opposition or the crowd but we can also experience a number of unhelpful thoughts, emotions and physiological symptoms which can lead to increased pressure and stress.
This applied and educational training plan will provide you with the knowledge about concentration and the different types of focus you use within your chosen arena. We will explore internal and external distractors and look at a range of practical solutions to help you build and improve your focus.
