The run up to exam season can place alot of stress and anxiety on students as they reperesent the culmination of all that time spent studying and attending class.

Students can prepare by adopting healthy habits and sticking to a routine that ensures they are staying hydrated, sleeping well and are able to focus.

  1. Take regular breaks when revising.
  2. Stay hydrated to remain focused.
  3. Talk to someone if you are worrying about your exam.
  4. Challenge unhelpful thoughts and develop responses.
  5. Make sure you are eating a well balanced diet.
  6. Aim for between 7 – 9 hours of sleep a night.
  7. Practise some deep breathing to stay calm.
  8. Identify your strengths and work towards them.
  9. Keep organised. Develop a timetable to help you stay on top of things.
  10. Use some mindfulness to help you stay in the present moment.
  11. Make sure you engage in activities that provide you with a sense of pleasure and fun.
