Summary

Welcome to your mental fitness game plan. Game plans are short conversational style videos that have been developed to help coaches and athletes learn how to maintain mental fitness. Within the game plans we will focus on real life practical problems that both athletes and coaches face.  The aim of game plan is to be able to provide both audiences with some simple takeaways that they can use in the present moment during a conversation.

Within this game plan we have focused on the topic of nerves and we are looking to support both coach and athlete on how they can start to have a conversation to manage nerves more effectively. We want to provide real life examples of what you could do in training or before competition to help an athlete who might be struggling.

This game plan is delivered by Adam Morris (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist) and Dr Chris Shambrook (Team GB Rowing Psychologist, 1997-2019)
