Summary

Approximately 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year. They range from common problems, such as anxiety and depression, to rarer problems such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

In this training plan we are going to provide you a basic understanding of common mental health problems (depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety and phobias). We will look at the criteria that is used to diagnose each of these mental health disorders and what treatments are offered to support people who are experiencing these problems. As well as this we will provide you with support on how you can help someone who is experiencing each disorder.

If you are a coach, teacher or parent and want to learn more about common mental health disorders and improve your mental health knowledge and literacy then this training plan is for you.
