  • Be kind to yourself and take a break if need be.
  • Don’t be afraid to tell your tutor about your mental health. They are there to help.
  • Remember you are not alone. Reach out for help or support early.
  • Monitor your stress levels. Get to know your triggers.
  • Make sure to get between 7 – 9 hours sleep a night
  • Eat a well balance diet
  • Develop coping skills. Learn techniques such as relaxation.
  • Take time to build your mental health support network. Develop supportive relationships.
  • Try not to bottle things up. Don’t be afraid to express how you are feeling to friends or family.
  • Get involved in a new fun activity.
  • Be aware of your own signs and symptoms.
  • Stay in regular contact with your family and friends at home.
