How did you get into sport?

I started gymnastics when I was 6 and I got into diving when I was 12 when my friend in Gymnastics broke her elbow. Tonia Couch (still my best friend and synchro partner) then took up diving and I followed her a couple of years later.

  • Current Individual European 10m Champion (First in since 1927)
  • 2012 Synchro European Champion (first in 74 years)
  • Commonwealth Silver medallist
  • World Bronze medallist (first in 82 years)
  • Multiple World Series medallist
  • Multiple Grand Prix medallist
  • 12 time British Champion

How does psychology influence your performance?

Sport psychology is the most important aspect of my sport. From a young age I have struggled with ‘head blocks’ and I have had to learn through others but most importantly myself on how to deal with that. Psychology is also important in competition, having to be focused throughout.
